To the Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of
Queensland.
The petition of citizens of Queensland draws to the attention of the
House that we strongly oppose the establishment of a brothel in Gladstone
or surrounding region. We do not consider this as a valid career choice,
nor a right example for young men today, as it does not teach them to
value and respect women.
Your petitioners therefore request the House to vote against any
application or proposal for establishment of brothels in our area.
