Lack of public dental care in Charters Towers and surrounding district

CHARTERS TOWERS QLD 4820
Queensland citizens draws to the attention of the House that a lack of public dental care in the Charters Towers and surrounding district forces residents in the region to attend dental clinics more than 130 kms away or wait several months for an appointment with a private dentist in town.
As well, there is no dental therapist to operate the school dental van in Charters Towers, disadvantaging 2000 students through lack of access to public dental care.
Your petitioners therefore request the State Government to take immediate action to provide a permanent dental team in the public health system to service Charters Towers and district so that residents are able to access the dental services that are readily available to city dwellers.
