TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
The petition of residents of the Electorate of Charters Towers draws to
the attention of the House the closure of the stock route/road leading
from Cusack Road to the Burdekin River, near Charters Towers.
Your petitioners therefore request the Minister for Natural Resources and
Mines and all other relevant Ministers to take the appropriate steps
necessary to ensure this road is reopened and access to our river
restored.
