Changes sought by Aveo to Sanctuary Cove Resort Act
Eligibility - Queensland residents7124 Marine Drive East
SANCTUARY COVE QLD 4212
The petition from residents of the State of Queensland draws to the attention of the House a proposal by the developer Mulpha and a related party Aveo to change the nature of Sanctuary Cove by building a retirement village in a planned residential area. The existing residents have bought into Sanctuary Cove on the basis of an existing plan supported by the Sanctuary Cove Resort Act. That plan should not be changed by the developer without the clear approval of existing residents.
Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to request the Minister for Infrastructure, Local Government and Planning: Not alter the Act or the regulations governing Sanctuary Cove without first obtaining approval of 75% of residential property owners (excluding Aveo and the developer); Be cognisant in dealing with Sanctuary Cove matters that neither the Principal Body Corporate (PBC) nor the Principal Thoroughfare Body Corporate (PTBC) is representative of all residents of Sanctuary Cove.
