TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
Queensland Citizens draws to the attention of the House that upon closure of the Caloundra Hospital Emergency Department, an Urgent Care Centre will open in its place but only provide urgent medical services for a maximum of 12 hours per day.
Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to ensure the Urgent Care Centre at the Caloundra Hospital be open and operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide urgent medical services required by the current and future
residents of Caloundra and tourists to the region, and not merely for a period of 12 hours a day.
