Queensland citizens draws to the attention of the House the lack of
recognition of chronic fatigue syndrome/fibromyalgia, and the lack of
Government services for chronic fatigue syndrome/fibromyalgia patients.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to 1. Provide sufficient
funds to enable the employment of a part time manager for the ME/Chronic
Fatigue Syndrome/Fibromyalgia Association. 2. Require DSQ to recognise
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia as disabilities. 3. Establish a
clinic, consisting of at least 2 physicians, 2 nurses and 2
physiotherapists, in a major hospital to treat chronic fatigue syndrome
and fibromyalgia patients. 4. Provide all doctors and nurses working in
the public health system with a basic understanding of chronic fatigue
syndrome. 5. Require DSQ to provide care assistance packages to the very
severely affected chronic fatigue syndrome/fibromyalgia patients.
