TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
The petition of electors of the Division of Caloundra draws to the
attention of the House the failure of the Department of Transport to
provide a public bus service to Pelican Waters forcing those residents,
without access to private means of transport to walk significant
distances, or have to rely upon family or friends to provide transport
for them to attend various appointments.
The petitioner therefore request the House to immediately have the
Department of Transport undertake all necessary steps to commence a
public bus service operating 7 days per week throughout Pelican Waters
that integrates with the existing bus services operating throughout the
Caloundra area.
