TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

The petition of electors of the Division of Hinchinbrook draws to the attention of the House the dangers associated with the narrow and unsafe width of Abergowrie Road from the township of Trebonne through to St. Teresa’s College, Abergowrie, including that of a recent fatality of a staff member from St. Teresa’s College, Abergowrie. Your petitioners highlight to the House the importance of traffic safety for all stakeholders at St. Teresa’s College, Abergowrie, and other constituency in the local community.

You petitioners, therefore, request the House to widen Abergowrie Road and address dips, blind spots and other safety hazards to road users from Trebonne through to St. Teresa’s College, Abergowrie, as a matter of priority.
