Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the segregation of our fellow citizens is having devastating effects on our elderly, those suffering from mental illness and our businesses. P&C Associations are facing closure as well as many other volunteer associations. Workers are losing their jobs needlessly.
Section 10(2) of the Human Rights Act 2004 says that: No-one may be subjected to medical or scientific experimentation or treatment without his or her free consent. It also provides that no medical treatment can be administered on a person without that person’s free and informed consent.
A non-vaccinated person does not necessarily carry COVID and therefore is no immediate threat to our community. A non-vaccinated person can go to shopping centres along with 1000’s of people, go to the markets, stay in hotels, walk freely anywhere but not go to a restaurant, bar, nightclub or even bingo. There is no justification in these rules.
Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to remove all mandates.
