Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House that Homeless United has been in operation for over four years. It is important to continue this ‘human’ service that has assisted over 400 homeless and housed over 250 people; literally saving vulnerable homeless lives.

Homeless United can clearly demonstrate that it can deliver outstanding human results along with sound financial return on investment. Community is safer with Homeless United as a funded program.

Homeless United provided a hand up to clients and works alongside vulnerable homeless to build skills to get housed and access employment. Homeless United genuinely cares about the homeless community and provides wrap-around supports that build independent and sustainable lives.

Homeless United is the identified leader for homeless in the Redlands and was instrumental during COVID by lifting homeless into safety.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all in its power to cause the reinstatement of state government support which will enable the Homeless United program to continue its vital work in assisting vulnerable homeless.
