TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House the following:

1. As of 26 January 2022, 89.2% of Queenslanders are “fully vaccinated” and 91.9% have received one COVID-19 injection. (Note: COVID-19 vaccines are still only “provisionally approved” in Australia.)

2. As of 20 January 2022, 101,795 adverse reactions from the COVID-19 vaccines were reported to the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration.

3. At the press conference on 26 January 2022, the Queensland CHO announced that of the nine deaths with/from COVID-19, two were “unvaccinated”, i.e., 78% were “fully vaccinated” and aged over 70 years.

Unlike in NSW, Queenslanders do not have access to comprehensive reports of COVID-19 impacts in their community. Information needs to be cobbled together from press conferences and scant detail on the Queensland Health website.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to direct the premier and/or health minister to seek a more detailed and factual account of the impacts of COVID-19 and include, as a minimum, the following on the Queensland Health website:

(1) clarification that “unvaccinated” can indeed include persons who have had at least one COVID-19 vaccination

(2) of those who test positive, or who are hospitalised with COVID-19

a. ages and comorbidities

b. condition, i.e., asymptomatic, mild, severe

c. whether they have ever received a COVID-19 vaccine

(3) of those who have died from/with COVID-19:

a. ages and comorbidities

b. whether they have ever received a COVID-19 vaccine

(4) COVID-19 vaccination injuries to Queenslanders

(5) all above information to be presented cumulatively from 22/2/2021.
