TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
Queensland citizens draws to the attention of the House that some recent e-Petition requests have had their anticipated posting date delayed. Such an important democratic function ought not to be compromised through inadequate resourcing.
Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to permanently increase resources to the petitions section of the Clerk of the Parliament’s office or put in place suitable mechanisms to handle peak workloads when they occur to complete all necessary processes in a timely manner.
