TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland

Queensland citizens draws to the attention of the House the failure of the Premier to protect and act in the interest of Queensland citizens (the interests of the public) by ensuring the proper investigation of serious allegations relating to integrity and that responsible ministers are stood down pending that inquiry.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all in its power to:
1) Ensure a Commission of Inquiry is established with terms of reference to include the ability to investigate allegations of integrity and the failure of independent action that have been raised in recent times, including:

a) Queensland Ombudsman Office

b) Queensland Building and Construction Commission

c) Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal

d) Queensland Housing

e) Queensland Public Works

f) Queensland Health

g) Public Service Commission

h) State Archivist Office

i) Office of the Premier and Cabinet

j) Office of Integrity Commissioner

k) Office of Information Commissioner

l) Office of the Speaker

2) Ensure that the Commission of Inquiry is chaired by someone with no conflicts of interest (such as retired Judge of another state);

3) Ensure that ministers against whom there are currently allegations relating to integrity (including misleading parliament) or have failed to act on allegations are stood down by the Premier pending the outcome of the Commission of Inquiry, including (but not limited to):

a) Hon Mick de Brenni

b) Hon Yvette D’ath

c) Hon Mark Bailey

d) Hon Leanne Enoch

e) Hon Shannon Fentiman

4) The immediate Recall of Parliament.
