TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
Queensland residents draws to the attention of the house that the Gold Coast City Council intends to remove the last remaining island in Lake Hugh Muntz which is home to many species of native birds and aquatic life.
Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to entreat the Council to not remove the last sanctuary in Lake Hugh Muntz and maintain its ongoing sustainability.
