Queensland citizens draws to the attention of the House the proposed parole review for Shaun Ross Andrew who was sentenced to life for the murder of his ex-partner, Joelean Lee Watson, and the attempted murder of his two year old daughter, Makayla. This review comes only 15 years into a life sentence which, if granted, would show disregard for both the family of Joelean and the reasonable expectations of the community.
Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to support truth in sentencing principles whereby this perpetrator serves the full sentence imposed which reflected the severity of his actions.
