TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
Queensland residents draws to the attention of the House objection to the helipad at Queensland Health’s Mackay Hospital and Health Service being out of commission for the next three years while construction commences on the Mackay Hospital expansion.
Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to do all within its power to ensure Mackay Hospital and Health Service liaises with RACQ CQ Rescue and local Mackay, Whitsunday and Isaac stakeholders to locate the CQ Rescue Helipad on site (or close access to emergency) during the construction of the hospital expansion or until the new onsite helipad is completed.
