draws to the attention of the House It is impossible in Queensland to access ANY free skin checks or follow up treatment. I went to a "bulk billing" clinic today for a skin check (after carefully researching bulk billed skin checks). I was horrified to be told it was $195! I had $70 (fuel, bread, milk money for the week!) and had to negotiate paying off the remaining $125. I was reassured that I would receive $80.10 back through Medicare. We live one of the highest skin cancer danger zones in the world and yet free checks and treatment are unavailable to us. I find this negligent on behalf of our Government.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to We therefore ask the House to review the current Medicare coverage for such an essential and life saving treatment.
