Queensland Residents draws to the attention of the House that the orders of the House are called Standing Orders not sitting orders! The current chair situation is a real problem. The chair layout does not emphasis equality due to distance and different heights. Additionally there are many seats currently in the chamber and if we add any more members they will not all fit in the room together.

Your petitioners, therefore, request the House to remove all chairs in the Legislative Assembly to promote quick and efficient debates, and to conform to STANDING orders. Additionally the layout should be changed to arrange all Members in a circle promoting equality between government and non-government members. Members of Parliament should stand up and represent their electorate at all times.
