The Petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the
attention of the House the need to provide a permanent all tidal access
boat ramp facility at Kierle’s Landing, Rita Island, due to this being
the only genuine access point to the mouth of the Burdekin River
Catchment. The facility requires an upgrade to address a number of
safety concerns caused by the heavy volume of marine traffic and the
distinct lack of infrastructure including car parking.
