TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
Queensland citizens draws to the attention of the House the widespread community concern at the failure of the
Queensland Government to provide adequate staffing by medical practitioners at the Caboolture Hospital to ensure that the
emergency department remains open to serve the needs of residents on a full time basis.
Your petitioners therefore request the House to ensure the Government employees adequate medical practitioners to
enable this important facility to remain open and operational and to guarantee that decisions on patient care will be taken
by qualified health professionals rather than by bureaucrats
