TO: The Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland
The petition of citizens of Cook draws to the attention of the House the untenable public transport situation existing in the Port Douglas area caused by aggressive and illegal behavior conducted by current competing bus companies, a situation well-documented to Queensland Transport.
Your petitioners therefore request the House ask the Transport Minister to regulate the bus services in the Port Douglas precinct to return a viable public transport system to residents and visitors.
