The Petition of residents of the State of Queensland draws to the
attention of the House the ongoing growth of the Sunshine Coast and in
particular, the Buderim area and its surrounds.

Your petitioners therefore request the House to support the efforts of
the community to have a Police Station constructed on Buderim on the land
that was purchased by the State for this reason next to the Middy's
Complex. This proposed Police Station should alleviate overcrowding
problems from Maroochydore Police District Headquarters and possibly
house the North Coast Police Headquarters as a 24-Hour General Duties
Police Station and Police Specialists such as DNA, Forensics, Photography
and other relevant needs.

We fully support our local State Member of Parliament in his continuing
efforts to achieve a Police Station on Buderim.
