Paper Petition

To the Honourable the Speaker and Members of the Legislative Assembly of
Queensland.

The Petition of Electors of the Division of Townsville draws to the
attention of the House the difficulties experienced by residents of
Railway Estate, South Townsville, Garbutt and adjoining suburbs with
respect to lack of frequency and timetabling of bus services and that
this applies particularly to weekend services and specifically to Sunday
services where on Sundays there is no service at all.

Your Petitioners therefore request the House to investigate and assist in
the introduction of a more regular and consistent schedule of bus
services for the said areas with particular emphasis upon weekend
services and specifically the introduction of Sunday services.
