As Speaker of the 58^thParliament, I express my commitment to the parliamentary principles and the responsibilities that this esteemed position entails.

My foremost goal is to uphold the integrity and respect of the Queensland Parliament, while ensuring the Parliament remains accessible to all Queenslanders.

I believe that every member, regardless of their political affiliation or geographic location, has an important voice that deserves to be heard. Therefore, I will actively promote an environment where every member feels empowered to contribute to discussions and debates, championing the interests of their local constituents.

I expect all members to conduct themselves with the utmost dignity, respect, and professionalism exemplifying the high standards of decorum that our Parliament and constituents expect.
