Report No. 4. 56th Parliament - Crime and Corruption and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2018

The Bill

The policy objectives of the Crime and Corruption and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2018 are to:

  • give effect to the Government’s election commitment to widen the definition of ‘corrupt conduct’, and
  • implement recommendations of the Parliamentary Crime and Corruption Committee Report No. 97, Review of the Crime and Corruption Commission (Report No. 97) and Report No. 99, Report on a complaint by Mr Darren Hall (Report No. 99).

Committee's Report

The committee tabled its report on 15 March 2018.  The Bill was passed with amendment on 1 November 2018.
