The policy objectives of the Crime and Corruption and Other Legislation Amendment Bill 2018 are to:

give effect to the Government’s election commitment to widen the definition of ‘corrupt conduct’, and
implement recommendations of the Parliamentary Crime and Corruption Committee Report No. 97, Review of the Crime and Corruption Commission (Report No. 97) and Report No. 99, Report on a complaint by Mr Darren Hall (Report No. 99).

The committee tabled its report on 15 March 2018. The Bill was passed with amendment on 1 November 2018.
