On 25 October 2011 the member for Mount Coot-tha, Mr Andrew Fraser, introduced the Civil Partnerships Bill 2011 into the Queensland Parliament. On 26 October 2011, Parliament referred the Bill to the Legal Affairs, Police, Corrective Services and Emergency Services Committee for detailed consideration.
The committee reported back to the Parliament on 21 November 2011.
