BRISBANE LEGAL STUDIES YOUTH PARLIAMENT
Nominations are now closed, as this program occurred on Friday 19 April, 2024.
The Brisbane Legal Studies Youth Parliament provided an opportunity for senior school students currently studying Legal Studies to experience first-hand Queensland's legislative process. Students:
- debated a mock bill,
- spoke in an adjournment debate or provided a private members' statement about any issue falling within the jurisdiction of the Queensland Parliament.
The Youth Parliament was hosted by the Queensland Parliament, and was chaired by the Speaker, the Honourable Curtis Pitt MP.
