PARLIAMENT AND GOVERNMENT PROCESSES

The Parliamentary Education team conducts public sector seminars during educational outreach programs for regional Queenslanders.

Seminar sessions will:

  2. detail the roles of Members of Parliament and their interaction with the public service and
  3. identify public service responsibilities in relation to the processes and practices of Parliament
  4. provide guidance as to how the parliamentary committee system works and what to expect if you are called to give evidence before one of these committees.
Previous keynote speakers have included the Speaker of the Queensland Parliament, Hon Curtis Pitt MP, local Members of Parliament, the Clerk of the Queensland Parliament, the Deputy Clerk of the Queensland Parliament, and senior parliamentary and government officers.
