How do I prepare my student for a key role?

Youth Members will be given a booklet on the day, which contains a script and directions that they can follow. All Youth Members with key roles will be briefed by a Member of the Parliamentary Education Team before the Youth Parliament begins. You might find the following information sheets useful to prepare your key role holders in the lead up to the day.

What do my students need to bring on the day?

  • 2 x copies of their speech, printed on A4 paper: One copy to be handed to an Attendant after delivering their speech. One copy as a spare. Palm cards are not recommended.
  • Water bottle and snacks for the trip, if you are travelling some distance. A substantial lunch including juice or water will be provided for students during the day's program.
