Legal Studies Youth Parliament
About the event
The 2025 Legal Studies Youth Parliament will be held on Friday 23 May 2025, Parliament House (Brisbane).
The Youth Parliament, hosted by the Queensland Parliament, provides Year 11 and 12 students currently studying Legal Studies with the opportunity to experience Queensland's legislative process first-hand.
Students allocated a speaking role will either:
- debate a mock bill, or
- speak in an adjournment debate or provide a private members' statement about any issue falling within the jurisdiction of the Queensland Parliament.
Some students will be allocated a non-speaking or scripted role.
Nominations for this program closed on Monday 24 February, 8am AEST.
